Has anyone heard of a downsized breed of geese?

Yeah, they're called ducks! LOL. Seriously, I've never heard of them. I don't think there is such a thing.

I did a google search for Bantam Geese and didn't come up with anything.

Maybe you do just need a duck

I've never heard of mini- or bantam geese. However, Pilgrim Geese may be what your talking about. They are quit a bit smaller than the large size.

The lightest weight of a goose is in the range of 8 lb, in any breed of Domestic American or Euro breed, correct?

Holderreads has them. Just saw the listing for them on their 2009 winter adult sale page yesterday.

There was a breeder here in Canada that was working on Miniture blue africans, he posted on one of the Canadian boards about 2 yrs ago with pictures of his breeding gander. The thing was only half the size of a chinese.
