Minimum order for purely pultry?

Im intrested in purely poultry but cant find were the minimum order for baby chickens is anybody know?thx

Minimum is 5 on most breeds.When you click on breed,it should tell you to the right near the check out box.

No, the minimum is 5 on most breeds.you can check out with 5,and it will give you your total.

I P.M. them a few days ago. They told me the minimum was 15 to ship, but you can mix batches of 5 each, so I ordered 5 R.P. turks, 5 Silver Lakenvelder poults, & 5 Golden Campines straight run. Their shipping for 15 birds is $20.

Their prices seem high is it because they are a specialty hatchery? I really like the idea of buying from a local hatchery but they seem higher than a few other hatcheries I have seen links to from BYC.

The problem I am now having with Purely Poultry is that:
1) I was originally under the impression that there was no minimum on breed
2) That the minimum does not take into account breed... but gender selection. So that if I choose to get one rooster and four pullets of the same breed... it tells me I must get four more roosters and another pullet.

Back to the drawing board I guess.

We are starting to think that we will be putting off chickens for right now. Not saying we will not have them... just postponing a bit. Bummer... I really wanted them for the garden.
