nice part of the country you're in! I'm new to chickens, too. got my first ones last fall, I 'cheated' and got them as ready to lay pullets. I'm envious of those of you raise them from babies. keep us posted on how things go. I'm mostly a lurker, too, but there are so many helpful, experienced people on this site, I've had great success with my own chickens, thanks to BYC!
