Minnesota Marans???

Hi All,

I live in Minneapolis city proper and am allowed 5 hens by the city rules. So in the interest of making a nice diverse little flock of pet egg layers I would love to find a true BC Marans that lays real dark eggs. If anyone can refer me to a good Minnesota breeder I would really appreciate it.

I am really looking for a young pullet instead of a chick, I just don't have the time to raise a baby bird even though I would love to raise chicks.

I thought about ordering from out of state but have heard to many horror stories about traumatized birds and birds being injured in shipping.
