Minnesota!

A few hours of mole hunting and now I have a hangover.

You don't get docked points, you probably get extra points. I lived in Grand Marais a Long long time ago I always thought there were 2 main types of people in GM. Artist and rednecks. Unless you hang with the artsy crowd I am sure you will make it in.
I just might get in... we lived without running water for 5 years, and have twice as many vehicles as drivers although one of them is currently torn completely apart in the garage awaiting an olive drab paint job. Well, I guess parts of it are out in the yard behind the garage... Of course, if you count 4-wheelers, 3-wheelers and tractors as vehicles, then we have three times as many vehicles as drivers.... The combined age of said vehicles is 66 years, and that's only including the 4 "highway legal" ones... BUT, I can't take credit for a lot of this, it's mostly the Hubby and his projects.

I am back in after doing the bird chores.

I forgot how long it takes to do "winter" chores. I have all the birds in pens except 3 guineas, which I set live traps for, and the turkeys. I figure the turkeys can fly to get away from most predators. I did not let them out until after 9 this morning.

I even have the CX's in a pen again. I must have had a bad day yesterday. I was in and out most the day. I spent a lot of time in the shed, but I still lost 3 birds. One of the Creamette hens I got from Heidi, a BA hen, the one that hatched the 10 guineas and the hussy. I really miss her. She use to follow me all day.

Oh and I lost a chick that the turkey was mothering, but that could be anything and not a predator. She is not the most careful mother, and tends to walk off without seeing she has all her chicks.

I have some Swedish flower hen chickens for sale! If anyone is interested pm me for details! Will give a good discount to byc members, especially if you can purchase soon.
