So I cleaned up the yard, front porch, patio and cleaned out the chicken coop while the DW had brunch with the girls and then had pedis. When she came home she talked a little with me and went inside and came out with a pair while I put things away. I mentioned that she could have helped me put things away and she got mad and shut herself in the sewing room. What am I missing here?

Prime example. DW decided that she wanted to go use the mower to mulch leaves. She came back after and said ' that was stupid, I don't understand what I was even doing' and was in a huff. I luckily knew to keep my mouth shut and just nod my head. Dodged that billet

You missed nothing, You did everything correctly. Your DW screwed up by getting a pedi before she got the chicken coop ready for winter. In my consoling sessions, had you elected to take them you would have learned this....as would she.............................

Most likely she is upset with herself for not bringing you a beer before mulching. I think you should tell her it is ok and she can bring you two next weekend.

Do not be too hard on yourself or her, it took a trained specialist like myself to catch this one.
