If you ever need a replacement for Roger we have several. We have 4 Favorolles a Lakenvelder and several others in addition to Mr Wonderful. One of the little roosters was crowing this morning. Mr Wonderful would crow then he would crow. He was hiding in the woods when he did it though.

I probably don't live that far away and we go to Brainerd fairly often.

IDK...It mentions Lakeshore zones etc which is not written in Cass County's. You'd think that there would similarities county to county but I guess they all had different authors when they drew up these rules. Time for them to get with the times though...that's for sure.

Thanks Goose4. Roger is my New Hampshire here north of Brainerd an hour and we still have him. Erlibird's Rooster had to find a new home...

Erlibird, my rooster disappeared in the middle of the day. Someone at my church says its most likely a fox. My mama hen and5 chicks disappeared over 4th of July weekend. We were gone. And my coop was full of feathers this morning from 1 of my 3 hens I had left yesterday. Now ive got 1 New Hampshire red and 1 white Brahma left. Im not sure how im going to catch this fox, but if I cant im going to have to stop free ranging. I have to build a pen for that, so I might not be getting anymore chickens for a while.

I have found the best way to deal with chicken killers is a browning and an unhealthy dose of remington nitro mag
