Sounds human to me too. I would ask neighbors if they saw suspicious vehicles around....bored teenagers with too much time on their hands this summer? IDK. Sometimes these people get careless and leave sign or get to talking too much. I would put out some feelers. Ugh...to lose all those pullets. I can't imagine.

And still trying to figure out the best thing for our coop! W are thinking about a Rubbermaid 7x7 shed.

Welcome Prior Lake!!! A Rubbermaid shed would make a clean out easy and be long lasting, but, it would need to be customized to be a coop. It needs lots of ventilation and a couple of windows for light is pretty nice. My 6 chickens really don't like the dark. If you are kind of handy and have some tools and dont mind dumpster diving at a construction site, you could build a very nice coop for ''cheep'' if not free.Mine cost me $35.00 total, and half of that was screws.
