Minnesota!

She is not much of a grouse hunter. She finds them if they drop most the time, but Pheasants are her forte'. She does love riding on the back of the 4 wheeler but she failed "stealth" class. She is great in the fields and swamps but tends to want to rush a grouse in the woods.

Duck hunting she would like, as would her daughter.

I figured the flies was a bad sign, too.

This can be blamed on the dead beat renter I had, if I had been here I would have a better idea what she was sitting on and when she started.

She sat in the same place another hen started then quit. BUT she was laying eggs on top of her, so some where fresher'ish.

I doubt any will hatch, but I will let her set for a few more weeks. I just hate to have to put up with a moody hen that wants eggs and thinks I took them when I lock her out from them..

I will go look there. I thought it might have been Menards just buying all that is left in a warehouse of a discontinued item. Thanks

And here is a posting of a video of my birds on the run. The first one out is a "toad" Bert's baby!

There are a few turkeys and a real good shot of a creamette as she turns sideways to give you a profile view of her budding crest.

Ralphie I love your video!! Good looking birds you have! Hope Menards pulls through for you!

NathanZee-There are a few of us here, me included, that are raising ducks and geese currently and some that used to. So hopefully we can help each other out along the way.

Ralphie-Your coffee is on the menards website. It is a seasonal item. There is one store that has some in stock. It is in Iowa but I am sure they can send it to your local one.

Send it??

I was going to pack up and drive there...

Actually, I am going to be a better person and try other coffees, I ordered some from Amazon today. Next year I will buy more when it comes into season. BUT our kuerig went on the fritz so we had to get another one, the one we have now takes K2 cups (read a way to force me to buy more expensive coffee yet)

My pullets, who I was told would start laying about a month ago, finally laid an egg! I have a feeling it's from my golden laced wyandotte.
Here's the egg next to my Black Sex Links

Along with my pullets starting to lay my one Partridge Brahma pullets got out of the chick pen without me knowing it; my German Shepherd was loose and she got a hold of her

I retrieved the bird but she had already ripped her leg and punctured her lung so she was already gone
