Minnesota!

Count me in among the ones who can pass on Surley beer.... Heavily hopped and dark beers are for lazy brewers. It takes a skilled hand to make light colored and well flavored beers (think any New Glarus brew, Blondes, Golden ales, etc not 'light' beers like Bud light/ coors light etc)

I used a heated dog bowl until i got a Farm Innovators HPF-100 3 gallon 100 watt heated poultry fountain for Christmas. I love that thing. It never once froze over so the birds always had water. It is suppose to work to 0 degrees but mine kept water open much much colder than that. It has plug to fill from the bottom but i never used it. When i filled it i would clean it inside and out anyway. That is all i use now. I plan on getting more of them.

I have two of those. I use the plug for filling all the time.

I used this on my smaller groups of chickens and it does work well, and to much colder than 0.

After looking it up, I have decided I will never allow it to pass over my lips. I am not a fan of "pale ales" or India beers. I like good ol'fashion American beer or Corona, a good ol' fashion Mexican Beer.
I'm with you. Colorado Coolaids for me. If I'm in Mexico: Sol or Dos Equis. No Corona pee for me. We went to a touristy restaurant in Ely last Saturday and I had a Blueberry Blonde at the Boathouse Brew pub. Wow was that good! Not huge on IPAs, craft beers but that one was delish. We're heading up to Fall Lake Camping Mid August. I think I may have DH pull over with the Recneck RV-Boat Train and pick up a Growler of that stuff.
Wow bogtown! Your yard is beautiful!
Thank you @Cluckies and @gofeedthegirls.

BlanchRanch I want a picture of your little city lot with the coop and all. I bet you have it nice too. Your artsy with your food...I'm guessing the yard is fantastic too.

Scandia: Congrats on surviving One Direction. My daughter lives a deprived life in the middle of nowhere. I think she might like a concert too...but I keep sneaking out of it somehow.

My kids are kind of deprived of the city stuff.

They'll probably start asking about that sort of thing though sooner or later.

Hello! I was told I needed to come introduce myself here on another part of the forum! I have a few cockerels that I am looking for new homes for, and was told this is the best place to try to find good homes. I have tried the Buy/Sell/Trade without luck. I live north of the Twin Cities, about 10 minutes north of Stillwater. I see someone named Scandia...and I am probably your neighbor!

I have 5 guys to find homes for since we are not allowed roosters. They are all hatched here, hand raised, great boys.

This is an EE. He has iridescent neon orange feathers with red laced blue feathers on the rest of his body. He is the sweetest thing ever and on the very bottom of our pecking order. He is going to be an incredible bird when he is older, I've never seen these colors on an EE before.

This is an EE/Crested cream legbar cross. He is a jerk to other chickens. I can't even lie. He will be processed first if I can get the nerve up.

This is a bantam mottled/splash cochin. He is a snuggle chicken, very top of the pecking order even with standards around, loves to crow, is protective of our girls. He is sweet, inquisitive, and a great flock leader.

This is the best chicken we own. He is a Delaware and the calmest chicken we have. He is #2 in the pecking order. He runs right up to us every time we go outside, is gentle but firm with the other chickens, and is beautiful!

This is a mottle bantam cochin. He had some funky beak stuff going on, btu it seems to have corrected itself. He is smaller than our other bantam roo because of it. He is sweet, so small, and active.

I look forward to getting to know my fellow minnesotans!

Oh Jeesh.  Just because I know how to tuck the crapola in the corners and take a picture.    :smack :gig   I still totally belong in that club.  :tongue And if it weren't for double secret probation you would really know I belonged there. And if Cluckies gets to stay with her insanely perfect set up, then I get to stay!  ;)

Just throw a tire in your yard, post a photo and the rednecks will calm down.

:)
