If anyone is interested in getting some Buckeye chicks, I have been getting great hatches from mine. I can only sell them as chicks though. PM me if interested.

I just have OEGBs. They are mixed colors.
I had 2 more hens go broody, they must think spring is here.

I'll be sure to introduce myself. See you there.I will be at the Pierz auction, what breeds are you bringing? I will be probably the only one walking with two canes. One black and one brown. Would love to meet you there and have some coffee.
Yep, woke up this morning and saw the -16* and thought - how can the forecast be that wrong! Was it really -20 this morning?! This is insane.
Would love to skip Spring up here. We are too close to the big lake to have a nice Spring any year. Those spring days where it can be 70* 20 miles south or west of us and we are at 40* happen all too often. Many times that temperature line is only 5 miles from us. Hubby says we aren't going south for the winter when we retire, but for the Spring. March - May!I watched this weather clip the other day. March is expected to stay on the cold side because the jet stream is stuck with a pocket holding the pattern up over the Northern Atlantic. It should be moving out in the next couple of weeks, and then we should see warmer than usual temps in the summer. Isn't that grand? Let's just skip Spring and move on to Summer..... again. I wish the weather would just mellow out!
The nice thing is being south of the Cities, it isn't nearly as cold as you all have it 'up North'. Keep warm my fellow Minnesotans!
