Last night my grandma's Springer spaniel that her and her husband use for hunting, killed 2 chicks and one chicken, and she blamed it on my 9 year old sister because my grandma's dog wasn't tied up, even though anyone who owns some sort of hunting dog should know that it's going to try to chase kill and birds!!!!! And then she tried giving me some money! and I told her "No, I will not take your money".

So sorry for your losses, how terrible!

Broody update: cold water bath FAILED. she was back on the nest after a few hours.

this isn't working for me. She is nasty, upset, literally pulling feathers out of others - flailing at the wire fence/cage to get out. THis is day 4!

I will try a whole body bath tomorrow with colder water - but it is already going to be cold and rainy.

Any suggestions?

Have you got a hen I could buy? Stupid question - can they eat game bird feed same as the guineas and peacocks or do they need less protein?

I feed my gamebird feed, with oyester shell on the side.
