Minnesota!

KlopKlop  how far apart are the "base" timbers on your hoop?

I ask because if I go over 120 sq ft I will run afoul of the zoning gods again.     I cannot go over 6  1/4 ft wide on 16 ft.  I might be forced to do 3 panels. Or overlap the panels.
6' wide 10' long so 60 sq ft

I picked that size after doing lots of Math to figure out how high a hoop would be using only whole pieces of 10' long conduits. I wanted to be able to squat and shuffle into the coop for catching chickens and whatnot. I'm 6'4" and it works ok for me to duck walk around in at 3.5 feet peak height

edit: I am so glad I am no longer bound by zoning rules, nosy neighbors, or the like!!

Thanks @erlibrd .... that is exactly the info i was looking for.

@holm25 what fair is that ?

Here is a little info about the different cultivars:

Bocking 4 = Good animal fodder, more for medicinal use, low in PAs, tends to run a little more wild
Bocking 14 = Higher production, the best for compost use, slightly higher in PAs thus not as recommended for medicinal use, stays put more than Bocking 4

Symphytum officinale or 'True Comfrey' = approximately 1/3 production of either Bocking varieties, seeds freely, can naturalize in ideal circumstances, might have lower PAs and better for medicinal uses

I am considering adding Bocking 4 to my garden as well. I have Bocking 14 currently

Who needs slave labor when you can charge people for it? I went to this "natural building workshop" in Oregon. My husband asked me to go because he thought we should build a house out of something called "cob". Well, it cost me too much money to sleep in a tent for a week, eat only what they had in the garden, which was a LOT of fava beans, and shower in an outdoor facility, oh, and use their version of a composting toilet. It was in interesting experience, let's just say. And there was no Mike's Lemonade. Heck, there wasn't even real coffee! But my husband couldn't argue with me when I got back when I said, "No way in HXXX are we going to build a cob house!" We took a hike up a mountain one day and everyone was encouraged to wear as little as they felt they needed. I think I went barefoot. Too many young people on here to tell more
