Sorry @mnhomestead meant MN Chicken. Too many posts for my poor brain to handle.

Was sitting here wondering if I forgot a conversation or something

Is it just me or does it feel like it should be much later? I need to go check on the chicklets. They have been sleeping outside & I think they should sleep in the Jr coop. I've put them in there 4 nights in a row, you'd think they would get it.

Do you ever find yourself backsliding?
Do you not eat a "Chicago" style pizza for the same reason an AA member never takes a drink, because that one taste could cause you to relapse?

Having been born here, I am curious about these things.

ON a completely unrelated real poultry thing,,,

Big Bird, my guest of honor for Thanksgiving, has been separating himself from the other birds and my DW says she thinks he is depressed. He stands by himself in the corner of the coop or way away from the rest, his head is not high and proud like it should be.

I have been worrying about disease or the dreaded AI. I found the problem this morning, Big Bird ( DW named him not me) is huge as a BBW compared to my slates. The dang stupid little slate toms are being mean! The are jump up in his face and pushing him around, A gang of 4-5 of them harassing big bird.

I now can work on solving the problem. One of the Gangsters could very easily find himself the guest of honor in Big Birds place! Dang birds!
Save Big Bird....dont worry Big Bird i will protest and be there soon waving a sign....

Yeah, mine wait until the last possible minute to head to the coop. But sleep outside? Not allowed.

We got goats. They share an enclosure with the chickens. Had to make the pop door smaller twice and Irene the goat can still get in the coop. They are currently making a bunch of noise and I feel very sorry for their insecurity. In one picture you can see an old propane tank, which I thought was a little redneck.
Thanks! Great looking crew!
