[Coffee 1st]

What a nice day out. We harvested tomatoes and potatoes today. After I tilled up the potato patch, I turned the chickens on it and they went to town on the abundance of ants and weed seeds i turned up. Even Betty White is getting brave an adventuring out.










Conrad and crew got yard time today, too. I am quite excited to announce he has begun to crow! its quite funny, but he is getting there. I dont have any fancy camera with zoom besides my iphone, so I am struggling to get good close up shots. I would love to show you guys some nice shots of Conrad. He is getting so handsome but wont let me get close..

We got goats. They share an enclosure with the chickens. Had to make the pop door smaller twice and Irene the goat can still get in the coop. They are currently making a bunch of noise and I feel very sorry for their insecurity. In one picture you can see an old propane tank, which I thought was a little redneck.

gorgeous weekend

picked a quart of wild blackberries, think it is the last for the season.

lost a hen today - at least I think it was today. she was missing at roost time tonight. no sign of anything....I was in cannon falls for a wedding yesterday, and didn't do a head count when I got home in the wee hours of the morning. so its a sad night.

So very sorry, I hope she turns up.

Aren't they adorable!

We just got a couple of Nigerian Dwarf kids (sister and brother - he's a wether) in July. Hubby was very against getting them - but he has warmed up to them quite a bit. They are so fun to watch!

I so want goats!!! My DS said he wouldn't help me with them. His neighbor in Isle had goats & they were over at his place all the time destroying something or another. That was when he had horses. I suggested horses, he said he didn't have that type of time, of course I said the Grands NEED a horse or 2. Guess it's off to Bunker Hill Stables.

there are also resue horses that need homes in mn if you are apt to do that, just google rescue horse in mn and have a look...

Painted 1st coat on boards today figured it might be easier to paint.. will do 2nd coat after they are up.. hopefully i can start constructing it tomorrow...
Staying busy during the day helps keep my mind busy keeps me from thinking about Hubby..
Its now when its time to relax that is the worst...
