Minnesota!

As I was driving to Owatonna Saturday morning and enjoying the beautiful fog troughs, there were a couple of good sized, very healthy looking does that were bounding up into a field out of the ditch. We don't see deer here, but we have tracks in our gardens and yard from where they come through at night. We suspect they have started coming and sleeping in our conifer lot too where we have done some windbreak rebuilding. They used to bed down out behind our granary until we cleared that area out. Then, of course, as soon as gun season opens, they are running through our yard a lot. Our dog almost got creamed one year when a beautiful buck hauled butt through from one corner of the property to the opposite corner via our gardens. I was worried it wouldn't see the fence in time he was in such a state, but he cleared it and kept going. Two minutes later a doe came through just about the same way and following him. I am sure our dog was just thinking , "What the ____ was that?!?" One of our local milk truck drivers hit a 200# buck right in front of our house one night too. It is pretty open here, but they do travel the tree lines and down in the field by our house is a pond with a lot of willows and their is a water way going in and out they stay in.

Well, it is time to go do some digging of potatoes to get a baked potato casserole going for dinner today. You all have a loverly day!

And just for you Ralphie, Cheers, mate!

I just saw in another thread someone used the term 'AI-pocolypse' which made me chuckle

When are you doing your day camp? I might be able to help.

I am surprised there are still openings in my Freezer Camp training program.

BTW I can now drink coffee and read BYC in peace me DW has finally got her arse out the door for work.  MY life is at peace until she returns. BRB, making another cup.
