Check it out! everything is working! splitting a maple round from the tree i cut up last weekend. Finished up just in time for the lunch whistle (aka my dogs getting hungry ) now i just need to get my tools put away and then work on reorganizing my shed so i can put my new toy in the corn crib

PS see that sweet crate i the back? of course i was looking at that thinging... this thing could be the start of a chicken shelter. I am a chicken addict through and through. Or maybe a turkey shelter, eh ralphie? haha

Four rooster are in the freezer. What's left:
Napoleon- Banty Cochin, a sweetheart
Rascal - BO, sweetie
Jen - Golden Wyandotte.
Oscar - JG.
The coop is very calm tonight. The remaining Roos are on notice.

With 31 hens this is a good ratio. Jen was on my list but I'm so bloody sentimental about him and he's a mellow dude.

I have ducklings hatching today.  Didn't think these eggs were even fertile ...   I had this wild hair to throw them in the incubator anyways.  Well...looks like I have lil deep keeled exhibition rouens popping out.  Its going to be too cold to move them outside for a longgggg time.  Ughhhh

I guess it could be.  She just towers over the jersey giant, and is a month younger than her.  I'm short, but she is up to my knees!
