Was planning to work on the new coop yesterday & finish it today. Yesterday my daughter got the stomach flu that the boys had on Friday. I ended up taking the 5 boys, my 3 grandsons & SIL 2 adopted brothers both 10 until SIL got home. Today I have the stomach flu. So much for working on nice days.

I was out all day. I cleaned all but the dust I need to vacuum out of the brooder house. I also discovered that I have two mean pullets who I cannot put my Faverolles with or the Favs get their butts pecked at. It would help if the Favs would grow some tail feathers, but this has been a bad year for that.
I got the plastic on the North end of the new hoop I have been working on too. I sold the last 5 Welsummer pullets that I was holding to pick from. It was a pretty good day. I sure enjoy not having to trapes through the snow to do all of this. It is still icy on the north sides of things, but still, better than a couple of days ago when it was like trying to walk on a skating rink.
Hubby is fixing my vacuum cleaner switch, so I can do indoor cleaning now. Oh happy me. Still, the holidays are coming and I do need to get some serious cleaning done.

Who the hell has to keep that thing spotless? I feel for them. I am sure it is not the owner. Just the owners idea.

I got my new iPhone back from Apple so I haven't been taking it outside with me anymore. That is how it got so dirty to begin with. That keeps me from posting while I'm working in my shop. I got a bunch done outside today that I have been putting off to work in my woodshop. That included opening my septic tank and fishing out a filter screen to clean.... Can you say gross!?!?

I also got my chicken hospital made. Tomorrow I will get it set up so my leghorn can move outside. Just needs bedding and maybe a simple roost bar.

is your leghorn eating more on her own? mine is eating again now, yesterday she had something in her crop at night, today it was almost full! So glad of that!

She is on and off. she definitly looks more lively. she scarfs any scrambled eggs i make her. She seems indifferent on the chicken crumbles...
