ok

ok, this is a FB pic of battery hens (hens from egg factories). This woman knits them tank tops because they are often poorly feathered when rescued - picking feathers because of close quarters in the factories. But... I am a little skeptical of that claim because it is hard to believe the breeds above came from an egg factory!

kind of a cute pic, though! wish she would knit goldie a tank top!
I had the same thought! No factory farm is going to have a frizzle (or whatever that thing is!)
Maybe the far left and second from the right? those could be black/red sex links?

@KlopKlop

Good progress on the sprouts. Has got me thinking about the possibility as well.

Today I bought a large spaghetti squash, will bake it for the gals.

We are still getting 15-20 eggs daily!

Also, I'm kind of excited.  I think I am going to let Goldie out to join the flock on saturday.  She is doing ok, starting to eat a bit more (ate almost a whole scrambled egg yesterday), and has enough feather growth that her wounds are covered.
I would let her join tomorrow but am heading to the cities in the afternoon.  Sat I can be there to monitor how she does.

Hooray for Goldie!!

We are heading out to Fort Snelling State Park for their New Year's Eve Candlelight Walk.

In 2016 I wish for everyone healthy chickens, fertile eggs and absent predators.

Happy New Year!
