I have a current molter too! And she's miserable... but she's alright. She started after those few days we had really cold weather thank goodness. Why she didn't just molt in the fall I don't know.

It has been an odd weather year and I suspect that is why she is late in combination with the fact that I have had lights on timers in the coop since days were getting short in early October

She is a true Minnesotan chicken, going around with no extra insulation haha she is out and about just like the reSt of the flock

this morning's line up at the dog house nest. Mind you, there are 10 perfectly good nestboxes in the coop, and I only have 24 hens.

You'd have some pretty peeved off hens if you closed it off. However, you may have to. I bet more will start roaming in.

Yup, that's where I went! eight RSL's snoozing in my office waiting to go home and meet their sibling!
