Does anyone here make it?

I have a bunch in the garden that I can use, but I don't know whether I need to dry it first or not. I did a trial with fresh not-dried leaves and vodka but its all brown and Im not sure if that means its rotten or if it's supposed to be like that. It tastes sort of minty, but sort of really gross.

I read that earlier. It leads me to believe I should use fresh mint, but it doesn't answer my other questions.
