Miracle- Hello! guinea/chicken crossbreed

Miracle is 7 weeks old now and still doing well. Here are some updated pictures. Thanks to you all for contributing interesting information to this thread or just letting me know you are still interested in seeing how Miracle is growing.

I have put him and the two guinea keets into the coop in a cage as of today. Hope they do well in there so they can see the other birds but can't get pecked. I have put a light in their cage for warmth at night but I'm not sure if they still need it or not. We are in Mississippi. So far the night time temps are in the 30s or 40s. At what age/temp do you stop giving them a light at night?

Thanks!!!!

He looks feathered enough to make it just fine. Should be fine with no heat lamp, But might use the heat lamp for a few weeks if they are not very well sheltered from the low temps or just to comfort you.

Wonderful! Amazing! I want one!

We've got guineas and chickens, and yeah, our roo is interested in the chickens but the guinea cocks aren't interested in the hens so far. Maybe this next year we'll get a cross somehow.

That pic with the Santa hat is perfect with his big bushy beard!

Love the updates and pics.

Thanks for sharing this amazing rare bird.

this cross is called Guin-hen or guin- rooster. I would like to see photos when it is older if possible.
