I really do believe that is a hybrid. Because he has the head markings like a guinea keet, but is bigger and has a different color legs than other guinea keets. You are so lucky!

He is way cool! you do need to keep us updated on his growth! I went to that feathersite and you have to look at the ginea section to see other hybrids...wow. They are really quite cool in their makeup. I wonder why gineas can cross with chickens? or peacocks, for that matter? Strange!

Thanks everyone. This little guy is really interesting to watch. He is much friendlier than the guineas - must be the chicken coming out in him. I have to keep a screen over the brooder box because he will fly out. This morning when I opened the screen to feed them he flew up onto my shoulder and then onto my head in a flash. He loves to sit on the edge of the brooder box and let me stroke his chest. I hope he is able to grow up and live a normal life.
