The one glimmer of hope with Miracle is that she is quite camouflaged with her coloring. Hoping she turns up soon!

Hello from Miracle,

I was waiting at the coop door wanting to get in when Mena got up this morning.

She was so happy to see me. Rascal and I were glad to see her too.

Last evening at roost time the big birds were acting like bullies so Rascal and I found us a nice tree. It was very scary though. It was lighter outside than in the coop because the moon was shinning. We snuggled up very close to each other and decided to be as quiet as we could. I could hear owls hooting and coyote howling. Once a fox walked under the tree. There were lots of lights for a while and I could hear Mena calling me. The lights shinned up into the trees and on the ground but she couldn't see us. We stayed quiet so the owls wouldn't notice us.

Early this morning we flew down and waited by the coop door. Mena let us in and we ate something and hid from the big birds.

She was so happy she was singing. I hate it when she does that.

I don't want to sleep outside tonight!

footnote from Mena: I'll be watching closer at roost time tonight so maybe I can prevent another episode like this! Thanks, everyone, for helping me through this. This is the outcome I was hoping for. It has happened a couple of times before with other birds. Miracle is just special so it worried me more.
