Miracle- Hello! guinea/chicken crossbreed

Awwww, Miracle! Look how pretty you are! I always love reading your updates. One of my big Guineas bully's my baby chicks too. I put the babies out in the sunshine in their cage and the big Guinea circles around chasing them from side to side. I have to put an empty cage on one side of them so they can hide next to it. They don't like being chased either.

I hope to buy your book soon!

Ah miracle look at how beautiful you and your buddies are! yes, it can get confusing when you get chased - makes a brain dizzy! glad you have mena to remind you of the good things in life! It will warm up soon and all sorts of treats will be waiting for you

Those big bully girls - someday you stand your ground Miracle

Hello from Miracle,
frow.gif

Wow! I didn't know that spring time would be such hard work! I like it so much though. Every day there is more to eat outside and all the birds are running here and there. Sometimes they can't decide where to go first. Mena is spoiling all our fun in the flower beds though. She is putting down wire on the ground so we can't scratch. She almost has the whole bed covered but there are a couple of places left. We sneak in there when she isn't looking and dig in the mulch. There are lots of yummy things under that mulch. We got bread from the bread store this week. It is really good and all us birds love it but not as much as the stuff under the mulch.

I was chilling out in the horse stalls yesterday sitting on the top rail with Rascal and Little Bit when Mena brought us some bread. Rascal and Little Bit flew down because they are really timid. I stayed up on the top rail and ate bread from Mena's hand. Romeo, the horse, came up to eat bread too. I almost flew down when Romeo put his big head over the rail right next to me. Then, I saw that he was only there for the bread just like me. We both had a nice snack, side by side.

I don't have to be afraid of him just because he is bigger than me.

One of the guinea hens laid an egg in the nest box today. It was the first guinea egg this year so all of the birds were happy for her.

All of the other guinea hens got in the nest boxes too and tried to lay an egg but nothing came out. Maybe they were just practicing.

Goodbye for now

(note from Mena - I didn't have my camera with me when Miracle and Romeo were eating bread. Shoot! It would have been a great picture. )
