Miracle- Hello! guinea/chicken crossbreed

Mena, it is important to keep the birds inside for some time. Coyote will come back many times as will dogs.

If you have a rifle, now is the time to use it. Listen for packs running at night and keep a vigilant look out.

Glad to hear M is good, not glad to hear you lost Guinea hens.

I am so very sorry Mena. This is why I never hesitate to kill a canine looking for trouble. My dog would not be able to defend my flock, nor would I want her to.

I think the worst predator is a canine. You got lucky.

My DD and I were scared we started reading the post and were hold are breath until we found out Miracle was okay so sorry about the ones you lost

how is the injured one doing. hope you catch or run those dogs off because now they know where the birds are. hope things start getting better and we wonder whats going on with Miracle and rascal we shall see.

So sad.... but am really glad the others and Miracle are okay. I have to agree, be very diligent for a little while, dogs very frequently return to the same place where they had a lot of "fun and excitement".

Dear Miracle & Mena---I just had a chance to get caught up on some back pages and as soon as I started reading your one about the attack my heart was pounding. I am sorry for you lose BUT so glad to hear Miracle and buddies were ok. Miracle certainly does know how to hide. I remember him disappearing this winter and scaring us. Wouldn't that be fun if the egg was her's

Please stay safe down there.

Wow! It seems like Miracle's whole life is made of miracles... so sorry for the hens you've lost.

also i have a question, i know someone asked if you'd breed a chicken rooster and a guinea hen again. im not sure what you answered, but i was wondering if you'd try a guinea rooster with a chicken hen. see what the results are and maybe continue with that sort of thing.

just a suggestion.

Oh no! I just came on board today and happened upon Miracle's story. I would hope the dogs have moved on. But I suspect they'd be back for another round of "chase". It's such a dog thing.

So sorry for your loss.
