Miracle- Hello! guinea/chicken crossbreed

Miracle, I'm so very sorry about Rascal. I'm sure it's just not the same without him around. At least you still have a few buddies to keep you company.

Those boys need to be more careful next time!

Those dogs had/have no owners. Wild and covered with ticks. Someone probably dumped them out in the country to survive on their own. May have even thought they were doing them a favor - that someone would take them in. Wish people wouldn't do that. Some few do find homes but most cause lots of problems - like killing my birds.

i hope your next update has good news, Miracle.

Hello from Miracle,
frow.gif

Today was a good day and it has been a long time since we had a good one. I still really miss Rascal but I am doing all right. The other birds are being nice to me. I forage by myself a lot and also I spend more time with Mena. Today I visited with her on the porch until she chased me out of the petunias.

Chicken Chicken finally got to take her babies outside of the coop. They are getting bigger and really like walking in the grass and finding good things to eat. She really watches out for them and makes sure none of the birds bother them. I don't get too close to them because she will peck you REALLY hard if you do. When she walks around with those babies she holds her head up high with her feathers all fluffed out like she is a queen or something. The other birds move out of her way and she passes by like a parade with her guinea keets behind her.

She took them out in front of the barn where the old antique plow sits and gave herself a dust bath. The keets did a little dust bathing too. It looked like so much fun that I wanted to dust with them but I was afraid Chicken Chicken would peck me.
