Love your coop - so cute! I've never decorated our coop inside, but have been considering doing it lately, since we're working on the outside a bit. Your post has inspired me more to spiff up the inside as well. Maybe I will before winter sets in. GREAT job on your coop! Do your chickens "like" the chicken in the mirror? Thanks!! It's a vintage match stick holder! I got two of them off of EBay! I got the idea from a coop I saw on Pinterest! Here is the other one I got!

Thank you!! It has been a blast planning and decorating it! I'm certainly no artist but I wanted to add a little color to the walls so I painted some flowers on the nesting box walls and around the thermometer. Thanks for sharing your photos, that's a great looking coop! And it looks like your girls are going to totally enjoy it.

Thank you!!! It has been so much fun! I love my chickens and wanted them to have a happy place to live...and a place I enjoy being in as I spend a lot of time with them! The girls love the mirror! They stand there and coo and talk to themselves! Even Clyde my rooster enjoyed looking at himself! I definetly recommend adding one to your coop! It's entertaining for them and me!!![]()

That trim work about drove me crazy! I first searched for vintage gingerbread trim but quickly realized the price and issues finding enough that matched was going to be a problem. So, I found a two different patterns I liked of brackets and middle trim and used two different publishing programs to create the trim template. Then printed it, taped the pieces together and traced it on plywood. My husband cut it out and I painted it!Wow, what a fabulous coop! Love the trim work and the porch. Now that's a coop I could spend some time in easily!
