This is going to sound weird, but my daughter hung her old toy xylophone in the run, with zip ties. She saw a video on youtube of a chicken playing with one, and wanted to try it. Most of them ignore it, but one likes to peck at it, and occasionally we will hear it tinkling.

My husband made ours a swing, I have never seen them use it but they like their wooden perch

I agree I built a swing because so many said their chickens enjoyed it...my chickens tried it out a few times, but once they discovered it moved they did not like it! Also on others suggestions i bough hemp rope to hang for them and the never used it till I hung it higher than the highest perch and secured it to the welded wire so it wouldnt swing much. I guess "different stroked for different folks" applies to chickens as well! LOL
