But look at this!?! I had my partridge and chocolate with a BLUE rooster, how am I getting these light chicks!?!? I was expecting black and blue with maybe a few partridge!
These chicks are from my chocolate hen (the black chicks are layer breeds)

So, bad for my SOP dreams and good for the people who have contacted me wanting unique colorsRecessive white would be my first guess, it's pretty commonly carried in Silkies and Silkie-derived breeds like Satins. Definitely update as they fluff out and start getting their wing feathers, though!
I do believe that is a mauve splash pullet, but could be a chocolate splash pullet. The only other option for a chick that light-colored coming from these is if it was a blue splash cockerel but that sure doesn't look blue to me.Debbie Debbie Debbie!!!!! What color is this!?!?!?!
I've had two hatch now, the Betsy egg is black and this other one almost has tan chipmunk stripesplease tell all based on these low quality photos through chick fluff and plastic
