Open Contest Miss BYC Beauty Pageant—Official 2025 BYC Mini-Contest

This is Cadle. She hatched on 3 April, so she's about 7 months old. She is a backyard mutt, with a salmon breast, and green shanks, and she lays a plaster-pink egg, in a flower pot. She roosts out high in a conifer, whatever the weather, but she's not a wild child, she's actually quite friendly. (The other pullet in the picture hatched with her but is a slower developer; also roosts out, in the same tree.)

Woah, GORGEOUS!!!
Where did the Silver Partridge pattern come from??
So pretty!
Hi Aberglasny!:frow
I think it's from a couple of her grandparents - partridge penedesenca on the dam side and isabella leghorn on the sire side, but I don't pretend to understand chicken genetics; they're beyond me

My chickens seem to make good choices about who to mate with; better than I would make for them at any rate :gig
