Miss Prissy, HELPPPPPP!

IT should hold fine. The main times you have to worry about opening the bator is if you have chicks pipped. If nothing has pipped yet then you did no harm at all opening the bator to add the sponge. It took us all time and mistakes to get it a little better at hatching and we all still have those inevetable problems that stump us. Relax and dont worry. It truely can take 24 hour or more after an egg pipps to hatch so dont panic. Jenn

I'd leave it alone for awhile and see how it holds but remember opening the bator alot will just cause problems at this stage...my thoughts

And as Jenn says after they start their pips don't open the bator!

Have patience... they take their good old time, they know when they are ready....

I can add water through a vent hole with a straw and syringe now so that's no problem, just wondering if/when I'll need to or is 71% OK? Thanks again!
