Great! I remember what you said on the phone about going to the fabric store for 10 yard lengths of cheese cloth.

That's how I buy muslin.

I will sacrifice some for a perfect turkey.

Wash it in scalding hot water to remove any seizing. Then boil it to get any fuzz or pill off. It should be really nice and soft after that. I would use at least 3 layers thick. Soak it in the wine and butter mix then form it over your turkey like a shroud. Watch it as it bakes and don't let it char but it will get very very dark almost black in normal cooking. Keep it wet with basting. Don't let it dry out.

Most any fabric store carries it by the yard - my store was sold out! but most cooking stores, grocery store, etc, sells little packs of cheese cloth with a yard or two cut length.

Lisa, look at my blog today.

Yes!! Last year I bought cheesecloth at our little mom and pop country store...it was with the one wisk and spatula that they had on the shelf!!

From Experience~~~~~~ If you follow Miss Prissy directions...this makes a KILLER turkey and mine looked like it was out of a magazine!!

Edited because I cannot spell......
