Since the birds were unsecured, the list of possible predators is pretty much wide open. You say you found her bones, were they picked clean, or is that just the phrase you used to say you found her carcass? How much of the bird IS there - and what parts are missing? This will help narrow likely suspects.

@Ol Grey Mare the bend were pretty much picked clean. With a pile of feathers that looked like they had been licked or wet, because they weren't fluffy any more. And I just found her wings. And my brother is devastated. She was old too. We think she went off somewhere to die peacefully and something got her and she didn't have much fighting in her.
