Clean the wounds up well with soap water, betadine. Treat with antibiotic ointment. They will heal quickly, I have used superglue on large open wounds to close after cleaning.

Ok so I cleaned the wound and applied triple anti biotic ointment. I finally got him to lay down. His breathing in heavy and he won't eat or drink. It has been about 30 hours since the attack and about 22 hours since I found him. What should I do ? How do I get him to take some fluids?

You can try to drip some on his beak and see if he will drink that way. You have to be careful when giving fluids so that you don't aspirate the bird.. Casportpony has some post in the past on tubing birds which enables you to put the fluid in past the entrance to the trachea.

Thank you all for your help. My poor beautiful Speckle died this afternoon. His internal injuries were just too much. I am very sad. He was a wonderful rooster.
