Missing Chicks

can someone help make sense were my chicks are? Yesterday i had a rir sitting on some eggs that i could hear peeping from and this morning i get up and all 8 eggs and chicks are gone. hardly any egg shells are there either. no sign of anything that could have gotten in the pen and she was still sitting. no sign of any bodies NOTHING. if was snake i would think he couldn't have got back out swallowing 8 eggs or chicks but also would have to have got under her i would think.

ps sorry i posted twice. also we have not had any chick or egg problems prior to this
