Missing feathers on top of head

I have a 9 month old Dominique who I noticed had a patch on back of neck where feathers are gone and then today, the top of her head looks like she's been shaved? Can other chickens peck feathers here??

OMG my BR has the same thing going on on her head. Someone told me it was pecking, but I have not noticed anyone pecking at her.

Yes, other chickens can peck feathers on the top of a bird's head. That is also a common place for feather loss if you have an overmating rooster. However, to me, it looks more like your hen is beginning to molt. Molting is pretty normal at this time of year, and it often begins with feathers being lost from around the head. The hard, quill looking feather things on your hen's neck appear to be growing feathers.

Do you have a Rooster ?

If so that is likely to be the reason...
