Maybe make them a nice run/pen they can stay in and not roam away over into your neighbors yard. Letting them roam like that is a sure way to loose them and you don't want the older ones teaching the younger ones that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. Predators are most always lurking about looking for an opportunity. You are very luck you didn't loose them all. Good luck and have fun...

They're all in their coops for now, we're going to clip their wings. All I know is we're definitely goin to have a run by the time the chicks come in. A little late in my taste, but I don't have any money so I guess I can't say much lol.

If you cannot afford to house your birds properly, maybe rethink having them?

It's like 3 acres, I think we'll be fencing in the area between their coop and the goat pen, about 15-30 feet distance. Maybe even 40

No, I'm a teen, I live with my mom lol, I just meant I don't make the financial decisions in the house.

My chickens and turkeys have disappeared. We have two turkeys, they kind of watch over the "flock," there's only four hens, no roosters. They're usually a close knit little family, and this morning they were in the neighbor's yard, and my entire family is too socially awkward to try and herd them out of the yard, so we went back inside. They always come back to the coop at night. Anyway, when we came back out to close them up, only one, my most loyal chicken, she's the most bonded with us since I had to nurse her back to health, was there. She followed us around really closely, and when I went to pick her up, (which she usually skits away a little until I get a hold on her), she just made her little pickup pose, (what I call it when she gets ready for me to pick her up lol). She looked sort of shocked, and rested her head on my shoulder. We are also very bonded with our turkeys, and the chickens usually follow them around so I have no idea why they are gone. There's no feathers, it was noon, no signs of struggle. We just got like 8 eggs from them all together, all in the same box, so I don't think they're hiding their eggs, plus there are no roosters. All I know is that there is a house down the road that has chickens, and if they went there, they would notice cause the Tom turkey has a weird burst blood vessel on his neck, plus you know, there'd be two turkeys now too. (btw he was attacked by a dog, but he's been fine the last few days.

Ask the neighbors. We’re they relatively friendly? If so someone may have stole them.

That sounds like a good idea. You can even put up a really inexpensive fence just using steel posts and plain old chicken wire. I don’t know if you have a lot of daytime predators, but usually most chickens at least the larger breed ones don’t jump over 4 feet, at least mine don’t.

I have a lot of predators here both aerial and land. Mostly we have coyotes. They can jump a fence. I have 5' fences and one jumped over in a small pen to get the birds. It also jumped back out and so did some of the birds. Now I have large covered pens and electric wire around the coops and pens and concrete under the gates all due to predators in the past. Mostly coyote, bobcat and fox here. Have had hawks, eagles, and owls kill some birds so I covered all of the pens. Depending on where you live in the country will determine the predators. Eventually your birds will be discovered, usually when you least expect it. Predators will lurk for awhile before they strike. They look for an opportunity. Good luck and have fun...
