Yeah, we assume it was a Fox, or owl or something. We have a crazy amount of predators around here. We even had a mink living under the house last winter!!That booger got several birds before we realized He was there.

wow!! this guinea is soooo fat!!!
now i know why they say "guineas are like a boumnce round ball' but mine are not that round, they are ovaly-like
This is a very sad story! So sorry to hear about this. We lost a turkey hen in a very similar manner. Its always terribly upsetting to deal with such gruesome loss.It is a very sad story to tell, when your guinea hen start to gain energy, eat more food such as insects and eggs shells and whatever they find in their daily wandering, just to produce the level of calcium and high contant of protein to produce eggs.
you watch your hen laying an egg every day up to 15 or 20 eggs. you become sooo excited that you"ll be feeding little ones on the lane.
you watch your hen going broody, feeding her every moring when she came off to feed. then on the night of day 26th you found a pile of feathers on the spot of the nest. how disgusting that is and painful it is. i felt like a fool...
Bravo bravo!!! Such beautiful animals! Absolutely stunning! You may have just made it even harder for me to choose what type/s we will add this spring. Thank you for sharing!
