Was he the only roo? Were all of those HER eggs?

Looking at those chicks I'd think they have different daddy's.

Well I don't know if you read the story but they are not really my chickens.They actually belong to my neighbor but they decided to move down the road.I have absolutly no clue what type of bloodline or breed they have in them and neither does my neighbor.He has just a big flock of mixed chickens that free range.It's possible that one of my roo's could be the father of some of them since they do mingle when I let mine out in the evenings.He is right pretty though.My wife say he has the longest waddles on any rooster she's ever seen.

Cynthia, I had her penned with some of mine for a while last spring and she wanted to hatch everybody's egg's in the coop.She was persistent and will get angry at you.It 's breaks my heart to take egg's away from a broody hen everyday and you have to see that look on their face.If I had her penned again I wouldn't be scared to give her special egg's if she was broody at the time.This is not her first rodeo according to my neighbor.

sooo cute!! that must have been wonderful to find her with eggs after thinking she died! her, daddy and the babies are all very cute! what a wonderful story. it didn't look like she could cover all of those eggs!
