Missing my chickens

I had knee surgery a couple days ago and I'm having to lay low so I'm not getting out to the coop. I miss them! I mean I really miss just seeing them and taking them their treats and picking up their eggs.

The whole chicken thing was my idea a couple years ago and my husband kindly and generously came online. But it's been my project all along. Now he's the one out there visiting them and telling me what they're each up to. It's nice that he's connecting with them. I still wish it were me.

And today he tells me that our rooster seems to be afraid of him and won't mess with him. Now I'm actually jealous.

Oh well, I'll be out there again in a week or two. I hope they won't forget me.

Don't worry they won't forget you they can remember more than 1000 faces I think that is the right number. If not, it's a lot. We had to give up a few of my babies and when I went to the guy we gave them to, they ran up to me, so you won't have to worry.
