Missing/poor quality feathers - why? how to fix?

I'm currently still getting an average of six eggs per day (from twelve birds) even though they are technically slowing down for the winter, so I wouldn't say they're not laying many eggs at the moment. I also have a hen who did have a soft egg previously due to (presumably) lack of calcium, so I am very wary of dropping their calcium too low in case that causes issues.

I'm not even sure if they have started molting properly yet to be honest. I have a difficult time telling. I'm guessing they will be soon if they're not already, though, since they're fourteen months old now.

It could be molting, pests, or stress related molting or maybe all three or who knows something else. I'm going through the same thing. I went ahead and isolated one bird and have her on a deworming schedule.

Stress though is likely involved to some degree for mine as she was mid-way in the pecking order, but has been knocked down to the bottom. Almost like they knew something was up with her and wanted her away.

She's gaining her feathers and coloring back, but still looks a bit ruffled. She's responding well otherwise now, dropping are still on the runny side and whitish. She eats and drinks.
