Angie, I've seen this before, but never tried it. I always put crushed eggshells under my tomato plants, partly for calcium and partly to discourage certain worms from climbing the plants. I happen to have one egg flat so there are now shells in it awaiting the seeds. Thanks for reminding me about this!
