MissPrissy-What do I do now with my ferns?

After looking at your beautiful ferns on your porch I went and bought 3, somehow I managed to keep them alive all summer, and now fall is here. We had a frost this morning and you had mentioned that you put yours in the basement for the winter.

Please help!!! I need more information.

Do you cut them back? Do you wait for them to die off? Do you water or do anything special?

I believe she said she cuts them back to about 2 to 3 inches and then keeps the soil damp (not wet). I'm getting ready to do mine also so this is a great question.

I bring my ferns into the house, and make them house plants. They like more humid conditions so I do "mist" water on them as well as my regular watering but otherwise they are pretty easy to maintain.

Don't cut them back yet. Find a lovely place in your home with bright sun but not direct sun. Keep them moist and enjoy the greenery through Thanksgiving.
