We are new to chickens and in our excitement to hatch our first eggs, the automatic egg tray was inserted upside down. Consequently, the only motion the eggs experienced was lateral movement from side to side every 45 minutes. So they went the first 26 hours in the incubator without turning. I am curious if the first day is more or less critical than later days the first week, and if it's still worth waiting until Day 7 to candle, or if we should just get new eggs and start over again?
