We just mistakenly received two male goslings instead of a male female pair in our shipment from Metzer Farms, CA and we are in TN.

I had hoped to use them as guard geese for our hens.
Should I keep the two males? Metzer offered to ship two females for no charge and apologized. They will refund me too. But I am concerned about the dynamics.

thats the one thing with geese and especially embden's are time consuming to pluck.. but so worth it..

Yikes. Does this happen a lot with sexing? Hope my two females are female when they arrive. Ladies only club for me!! Fingers crossed. Has anyone else had confusion with sexing mix ups from large hatcheries? Does this happen a lot??

no it does not happen a lot.. humans make decisions and are not perfect so it does happen

Two ganders raised together generally don’t have issues with each other, they’ll bond and be kind to one another. The dynamic may change during breeding season if they grow up with the girls. Fighting may occur.
Sometimes one gander can hoard two females to himself and the other can get left out.
