Well. . . I've joined the ranks of "a crazy chicken man" now. . . outside Chicago.

Got my 11 chicks before my coop. I wish knew of this place first. Shoot.

Learning backwards is always fun and helps with the family that are not big fans of chickens.

So I will be asking alot of questions. . .and well . . . looking for advice on how to finish my coop with no more money. Venting, keeping them warm in winter. . . things like that.

I've jumped in with both feet . . . right into the full amount of poop small chicks make. . . .WOW!

Mr Wizard. . . I need your help!

Thanks in advance

Glad you joined us!

Hi and :welcome

We managed to patch up our coop with scrap bits of wood lying round in the garage, probably from the previous owners.

Although if you've only got chicks yet you can keep them in a refrigerator box. We did until they got too big and had to sleep outside... hopefully you'll be finished by then!
Give them a heat lamp and they should be fine.

I hope you find all the info you need here, and enjoy the site. :D

Thanks. . .the chicks are entering that awkward pre-teen stage. . . . They are a little over a month old. I did post pictures of my coop. . . in the coop section. So any advice would be good.

Thanks again for the welcome.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. . . I changed my avitar to my other love of coupe's . . .I was thinking of adding a ford bumper on this new coop. . . so it will be a Ford coop. hehehe

Well I got no responses after a day or help with the next step on my coop . . . I will go it alone.

Thanks again for the welcome. Look forward to learn all I can here.

In Jesus Name
Mitch.
