Mite bite? Infection? Help!!

Hello! So this morning when I went to go feed my quails I noticed jimmy had some sort of bump of her eye. I’m not sure what it is or how to heal it. Please help! Her behavior is perfectly normal but I’m sure it’s quite uncomfortable for her vision #quail

I haven't seen a bump on the side of the eye before like that. I would say to go to the nearest avian vet, but I may be wrong @007Sean @Nabiki what do you all think?

I'm not sure, but that looks like some sort of infection. I would recommend a vet, but separate her out in the meantime in case it's something contagious.

I'm still not very experienced with disease, so I only know basic first aid.

Iodine is a broad-based antimicrobial and is very well tolerated even in high doses, and is inexpensive and readily available. I would start applying it topically to the bump. You can also put it in drinking water or a nebulizer or aromatherapy diffuser if you have one.
