I went to treat my silkies eye this morning and saw what I thought was "dirt" on her head and neck.....she's COVERED in mites...will this poultry dust treat it? I just cleaned their coop out a week or so ago and dusted it as well.

All my silkies and my 2 polish babies have mites🤦‍♀️ I have dusted them, (heads and necks) and closed off the coop they were in until I can clean it.

YIPES! Try this out too... I would go ahead and try the dust. Do some research. Pinterest would have some ideas

2 cups water.
1 cup cooking oil.
1 tablespoon dish washing liquid. This will help kill off the mites that leave the hens by suffocating them. Shake well before using because the mixture will separate.

Put it in a bottle and just spray the heck out of your coop 🤣

Thank you!!! All my crested bantams have them😖

I'm going to spray with that mixture and let it sit all day with them outside in the run so hopefully I can get this under control. I won't have any help to deep clean the coops until sunday.😔
