mite recovery?

so I think I may be on the up side of a huge Mite infestation.... how long will it take my girls to recover from it?

some had bald spots on their Bum and egg production was WAY down....also they looked very thin.

I've been surprised to see how quickly they can bounce back once the mites are gone. You can give them some extra good food, like scrambled eggs, too. I'd think in a week or two you'll see big improvements and laying get back to normal. IF the mites were the problem and they're gone. Good luck!

Are you treating them with something? Are they free range or in a pen. If they're free range, it's hard to treat. Dealing with that here. You can get Permethrin to spray around their living quarters. That stuff's nasty but it does kill mites. If they roost where you can reach, t's important to treat all services.

they are in a Pen....and roost in a Bldg Coop...Wood.....Used Liquid 7 on all surfaces...soaked them!..
